The Panther girls faced their toughest challenge so far versus versus Semiahmoo on Thurs. Apr. 9th. Against a more experienced and very aggressive Totems team, the Abby girls proved to themselves that they could compete at a high level, against one of the best teams in the Valley, if not BC, this year. Semi jumped out to a first half lead of 12-0, but our girls came away from the half time break with much more resolve & concerted team work. Abby owned the second half, with #8 Tiffany Perkins scoring twice. Team defense & support was crucial for the Abby girls, with several determined & successful goal line stances. The final score was 12 to 10 for Semiahmoo. Our team earned a valuable league point for a loss of 5 or less points. Next game is at home on Thurs. Apr. 15th against Queen Elizabeth, 4 pm kickoff.
